Brandon R. Shannon – Shareholder

Brandon focuses on defending individuals and businesses in civil litigation. His areas of practice include personal injury, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, product liability, professional liability, construction defect, and constitutional claims. Brandon also handles insurance coverage and insurance bad faith matters and conducts trainings on claims handling in Montana. While he emphasizes early and efficient resolution of cases, for matters that cannot be settled, Brandon has successfully tried multiple cases to verdict and represented clients before the Montana Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in Montana and Wyoming. Brandon is a member of the Western Montana Bar Association, the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers, the Defense Research Institute, and Your House Counsel.

Brandon was born and raised in Lolo, Montana and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Montana. While in college, he worked at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s legal department. Brandon then attended the University of Montana School of Law, graduating in 2017. While in law school, he worked at a Missoula litigation firm, was an editor of the Montana Law Review, and did his clinical studies representing students in a wide variety of criminal and civil matters. Before joining BEBT, Brandon clerked at the Montana Supreme Court for the Honorable Justice Jim Rice.

Brandon enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He has many hobbies including hunting, camping, and cheering on the Griz.
